NOTICE - FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING UNDERWAY 4/21/2026

 

The Public Works Department will be performing routine 6-month hydrant flushing and inspections this week and next.  During this time, residents may notice a temporary drop in water pressure, puddling, or water flowing in the streets.  Flushing is done to ensure functionality of the fire hydrants as well as to maintain water quality.

Spring Loose Leaf Collections

The Denton Public Works Department is scheduling their loose-leaf removal service to occur on Monday-March 30, Monday-April 6, Friday-April 10, Monday-April 13, Friday-April 17, Monday-April 20 and Friday April 24, 2026

LCRR Service Line Inventory

The Town of Denton recently completed an initial service line inventory for the Maryland Department of the Environment.  This inventory was required under the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) of the National Primary Drinking Water Regulations.  The inventory identifies the materials of service lines connected to the water distribution system.  The service line inventory is available to water customers upon request

 

STREET SWEEPER REMINDER

Street Sweeping takes place Friday mornings in downtown Denton. Whenever possible, please remove vehicles from the street until after the sweeper has gone by.

*Supplemental sweeping takes place as needed.
